This Saturday is Pittsburgh’s Very Own at Mr. Smalls, presented by Tripsburgh, featuring five of the finest, fuzziest, day-glo brightest psychedelic rock bands in town: Delicious Pastries, The Garment District, Misaligned Mind, Nox Boys and Wwoman.
We have two tickets to give away to the show courtesy of Opus One Productions. To enter, shoot us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and put “wwoman” in the title. We will announce a winner the day the morning of the show.
But wait, there’s more! The winner will also receive a copy of Let Us Sleep Together, the new LP from Wwoman. Wwoman is the brainchild of Greg Smee. Indie Shuffle says Wwoman sounds like Caribou and Tame Impala, and we won’t dispute that, especially with the ethereal vocals and synth-heavy sound of a track like “New Ferments”:
While essentially a solo project Wwoman plays live with a full band. The lineup includes Ryan Hizer (Good Sport/Shaky Shrines) on bass, Rich Stanley (Cisco Kid) on guitar, Chris McCune (Bear Skull/Dendritic Arbor/Locks and Dams) on drums, as well as Josh Barnes (The Nous/Nic Lawless).
